About Sean Stacey Photography

I’m Sean Stacy, a Texas-based equestrian and portrait photographer specializing in horse show photography, horse sale packages, and fine art equine portraits. In 2021, I turned a lifelong passion into my profession, bringing together over 40 years of practice behind the camera with a deep love for horses and the people who work with them.

My photography career began long before it was official. I grew up surrounded by stories and images, inspired by my father’s military photography during his time in Okinawa, Japan. Those early slides sparked a fascination with capturing life’s moments that has stayed with me ever since.

After leaving corporate America in 2019, I pursued photography full time. Since then, I’ve built a business that combines my artistic eye, my knowledge of horses, and my commitment to helping clients showcase their stories. Whether I’m ringside at a show, on the rail capturing sale videos, or creating timeless family portraits in Texas, my goal is always the same: to create images that are authentic, professional, and unforgettable.

When I’m not photographing horses, riders, or families, I’m usually with my own—my wonderful wife, our four kids, and our three dogs. We love to travel, from boating in the Virgin Islands to dreaming about exploring Italy, Spain, Croatia, and Greece.
